Social Promoters for Inclusion through Sport

The theme of social inclusion through sport is based on the important role of sport in the Europeansociety and its social function, a role recognized since December 2000 by the European Councildeclaration on the specific character of sport in the implementation of common policies (the NiceDeclaration). Starting from this content, it was conceived the project Social Promoters of inclusiOnthRoughsporT that is aiming at increasing the inclusion ofyoung people with fewer opportunities at European level through sporting activities.

The project Social Promoters of inclusiOnthRoughsporT included 2 mobilities which will takeplace in Iasi, Romania on and the 30 participants will represent the 10 partners from the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia,Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey.
The two mobilities will be complementary to the development of youth workers with new knowledge,ideas, competences, practical methods of social inclusion of young people through sport, from the understanding of concepts to application, from receiving information to their transformation throughcreativity and innovation in intellectual products, from creation to receiving evaluation feedback, fromdesign to practice, from working on national teams to working in multinational teams, from learningfrom others to their own initiatives, from information to dissemination. Both mobilities will be based onthe transmission of information by trainers and facilitator, on the exchange of ideas and bestpractices among participants, on the involvement of participants in practical activities, on directinteraction with social actors and young people from the local community.
