Social Promoters for Inclusion through Sport
                               2019 - 2021, Iasi, Romania


 


The project opening was made by H.E.Dr. Morel Bolea – EuroDEMOS President. The participants were received officialy with bread and salt. The participants received information about the local community and the project main activities and methods.


In the first training the participants learned more about European documents related the project topic of social inclusion and sport. The trainers offered inputs to define the marginalized groups, to share opportunities for social inclusion and to value the non formal education to develop youth work.

Sport, good mood and inclusion were part of the joyful atmosphere within the #EuroDEMOS training Social Promoters for inclusiOn thRough sporT. One of the project activities was a sportive activity with the involvement of youth from National Association for Children and Youth with Autism from Romania!

Dance is one common language that youth workers can value in order to contribute to the social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities. Within the training Social Promoters for inclusiOn thRough sporT, EuroDEMOS team presented a model of good practice on how cha cha can be used as educative non formal way to work with different marginalized groups.

International team work was one of the strongest points that contributed to the good results of the project Social Promoters for inclusiOn thRough sporT. The 30 youth workers shared their knowledge, models of good practice from their communities and worked to find new perspectives on how to include marginalized groups through sport activities by creating non formal methods.


One of the method created and applied in the second mobility was Sports empathy towards the disadvantaged. The purpose of the method was to raise the level of empathy of youth/youth workers related to disabled persons.


Second non formal method created by the work of the international team and apllied with all the group was named Danza Bola. The method aimed to raise the awareness related the situation of disadvantaged persons and to understand the importance of working together with inclusion of all the team members in order to achieve a common goal.


Third non formal method conceived wasEco behaviors for social inclusion that had established the purposeto engage young people from different social environments towards our purpose using physical activity and creativity to develop eco consciousness.
