TRAINING COURSE
Training for Trainers Youth lense
Kladovo/Serbia 22-30 October 2011



 
 

Project T4T "Youth Lense" is a Training Course directed to youth leaders, youth workers and young people involved in the youth work, willing to acquire new skills and competence to work with youngsters and to be able to organize good quality projects in the frame of the Youth in Action Program.
The Training Course took place in city of Kladovo in Serbia, from 22 to 30 October 2011 and it involved 25 participants from 10 different countries (Germany, Malta, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Italy, Romania, Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia).

We wanted to equip them with new tools to work with young people and to leave an impact on the local communities where they live showing to be able to involve more and more young people stimulating them in becoming active citizens.
Working methods were those of non-formal education, which includes creating a friendly and confident environment to stimulate the sharing and the process of learning from each other among the participants.

Activities included: working in small groups, power point presentations, simulation activities, role plays.
Projects also involved young people with fewer opportunities (the ones with social and economical obstacles) which learned to build up capacities of their sending organizations and be multipliers of the outcomes of the training.

The expectation was to make a new generation of trainers which will be active participants in Youth in Action program and active citizens of European Community. Specific objectives of the training were:

- To apply the principles of adult learning
- To develop training approaches that accommodates different learning styles
- To enhance communication skills of youth leaders
- To devise strategies for assessing training needs, design, conduct and evaluate training activities in context of non formal education approach
