International seminar

EuroDEMOS was represented within the International seminar JANUS which took place on 2-9 August 2013 in London, United Kingdom.

Janus is the god of beginnings and transitions. He looks to the future and the past.
The Janus Project brought together people from 36 European countries together in London to evaluate the impact of Youth In Action and create a network for new Erasmus+.
The Janus Project looked back at 7 years of Youth in Action, and forward to the possibilities in the next 7 years of the new programme.
The project represented a celebration of everything that has been achieved by Youth in Action partners all around Europe, and the positive impact on the lives of young people. This leaded on to discussion and planning of new projects for 2014 and beyond (based on available published information at the time).

The week ended with a large scale conference which promoted the importance of European youth mobility to the widest possible audience including policy makers, education leaders and the media.
The Janus Project was based around a series of dynamic intercultural activities and group challenges. It was inspiring, educational, fun and an excellent partnership-building opportunity. The main themes of the week were the four principles of youth work: education, empowerment, equal opportunity and participation.
The Janus project was organised by Momentum World on behalf of the UK National Agency.
