Fighting Gender Inequality through Youth Work

EuroDEMOS was partner in the international project Fighting Gender Inequality through Youth Work that was coordinated by Youth for Social Changes from Albania and was co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Fighting Gender Inequality through Youth Work aims to promote gender equal society by strengthening competencies of CSOs representatives coming from participating organizations to tackle roots of gender inequality and effectively respond on them.
1. To develop the understanding of the role of gender and equality in youth work;
2. To train staff of participating organizations in gender awareness and anti-discriminatory practices;
3. To increase community awareness on gender issues through awareness campaigns (capacity building activities) based on using following innovative elements: integrated media tools and storytelling;
4. To improve networking amongst involved CSOs and other stakeholders and support sharing best practices of gender related activities

The international partners of the project are from: Albania, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Kosovo.

The project included 5 international mobilities with participants from the staff of the NGOs, youth leaders, youth workers, teachers project managers:
- 1 Seminar in Struga, Macedonia,
- 2 TCs in Prishtina, Kosovo and
Durres, Albania,
- 1 Study Visit in Piekary, Polonia,

- 1 Job Shadowing in all partner countries.

Between  01 July – 15 September 2018, EuroDEMOS Association organized in Romania 5 Capacity Buiding Activities with 85 participants in total like youth workers, youth leaders, youth, teachers, project managers, NGOs staff etc as following:
- 1 training courses in Iasi on 16 a July 2018
- 1 training courses in Iasi on 17 July 2018
- 1 certificate ceremony at Iasi City Hall 2018
- 1 training course in Barlad on 19 July 2018
- 1 training course in Bacau on 21 August 2018
- 1 Round Table in Slatina on 05 September 2018
