ducated, Young and Employed

The training took place on 16 – 26 September 2014.  

The project had as objectives to:
- train youth leaders and youth workers as resource persons in developing the competences to increase the youth employment;
- create partnerships and develop resources to facilitate the youth integration on the labour market;
- promote the intra-sectoral and intersectoral cooperation as way to increase youth employment.

Within the training were actively involved 28 participants who were youth leaders and youth workers from the partner organisations from Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Great Britain.

The European project „EYE: educated, young and employed" was created following the necessity of the young people to get employed and the motivation of the youth leaders and youth workers from the European community in general and partner communities particularly to contribute to increasing the level of youth employment.

The activities included non formal methods and development of specialized and practical information on the project themes in sessions on the role of education in overcoming unemployment, complementarities among formal, non formal education and VET, competences development and their recognition, strengthening the cooperation between NGO sector and other relevant actors on the labour market for youth employment, and others.

Within the training were applied methods such as mind mapping, role play, workshops, world cafe, brainstorming, creation of a motivational video Why to employ young people?.  

Within the project were developed useful resources
for the participants and their organisations especially and unemployed youth generally such as training kit, portfolio of resources for youth employment (how to make a CV, motivation letter, interview, and others).

On long term the project has impact in developing the capacity and cooperation among organizations at European level to develop useful resources to increase the youth integration on the labour market.

The members of the project team have practical experience of years of involvement in civil society and in coordinating numerous projects at local, national and international level.
