Act_knowing_Democracy - Involved Youth Coalition

EuroDEMOS Association carried out the European project “Act by Knowing the Means of Democracy”, on 10 - 19 of April 2013, in Iasi, Romania. The project has been funded with support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.

The International Training “Act by Knowing the Means of Democracy” had as participants youth workers and youth leaders from Albania, Azerbaijan, Greece, Italy, Armenia, Latvia, Rep. of Moldova, Spain, Turkey, Macedonia and Romania.

The Training Course “Act by Knowing the Means of Democracy” approaches as main themes democracy and youth active participation and aims to train the international participants as active citizens in democracy.

The participants gained valuable information about democracy and human rights as core values of Council of Europe as well, European tools to apply and promote democracy and human rights through youth active participation, such as Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education, The revised European Charter on the Participation of Young People in Local and Regional Life. One of the project results will be the foundation of the  INTERNATIONAL NEWSLETTER on democracy.

The training was prepared and conducted by a qualified and professional team of trainers, project managers, socio-educative animators etc. specialized in European projects and the participants received specialized training kits and certificates of participation.
